After moving from our family home in Woodland Hills, CA to our condo in San Francisco, we find ourselves with lots of excess furnishings.  Most of it has been in storage for a few years, but we've decided to get it moved along.  We are downsizing our collections of flower prints, Native American art, turn-of-the-century prints, and other subjects of interest.  In some instances the vintage frames may be worth more than the pictures themselves.  We hope they all go to loving homes.  Please ask for more detail if you find something  of interest.  ANY REASONABLE OFFER CONSIDERED!

VINTAGE PRINT - ORIGINAL FRAME

This 7"x 10" print of a wooded scene in a 7-3/4" x 10-3/4" original wood frame is typical of wall art in the early part of the 20th Century. Frame has a couple of worn spots- Does not detract,  Could be blended in with light ink or paint application, but I'll leave that to the new owner

VINTAGE PRINT/PHOTO? ca 1920's

This very, very old picture came from the estate of a woman born in the late 1800's  11-1/2" x 15-1/2" picture in a 15-1/2" x 17-1/2" original frame.  Frame is a copper-colored stained wood.  Picture is a woodland scene, either, a ca. 1920 print, or may even be an  early hand-colored photograph.  I'm not knowledgeable enough to know.  Frame has a few bruises and chips - do not detract.

BEN SHAHN LITHO COPIES

2 copies of Ben Shahn Lithos. 
These were pictures of lithos for sale by Collectors Guild in 1949. I couldn't afford to buy the Lithos, but I kept the copies of the offerings,and the sales brochure for the series"For the Sake of a Single Verse".  The prints are "One Must Know the Animals" and "To Days of Childhood"

SET OF NATIVE AMERICAN SAND PAINTINGS- NEW MEXICO - CONTEMPORARY

Large painting ,by LARRY TOLEDO  (8" x 14")depicts a member of the Corn People, one of the plants depicted as people in the shooting chant, as told in the legend on the back.

Smallest painting (3' X  6") is a female Healing People, by Bz P James

3rd painting - (4" x 6")has male Healing People figure - signature on back is illegible.

Print of riverway - reminiscent of Turner- ca. 1910, in original green and copper wooden frame.  Print is 8-1/4" x 12", frame is 9-1/4" x 13-1/4" VG condition.

MOUNTED PRE-COLUMBIAN MASKS MADE IN MEXICO

Grave molds, mounted on burnt orange linen in distressed walnut - tone shadow frame.  3 smaller upper masks are permanently mounted.  Two lower, larger masks (~4") hang on hooks and are interchangeable with 3rd larger mask (included) 5" high.  Small coordinated disc, ~2" diameter will be included.

PAINTED TIN MASK

Tin mask in copperstone finish with black glaze & green sand ornamention.  Sides of headpiece are articulated.  Appedars to be female, possibly Asian, but I'm not sure of either.  Apx 8" x 8"

Female Mardi-Gras Sad Clown Mask, ceramic.  Made inTaiwan.  In A-1 condition- no flaws.

BRASS RUBBING BY LADY MONTAGU OF BEAULIEU

21"X 29", brass rubbing of John Pecok and wife Maude, c 1330, stamped with Montegu crest.  Certification on back lists it as Beaulieu Brass Rubbing Cat.No2

Accompaning "Beaulieu Brass Riubbings " book (with Montague imprint)  tells the story of a truncated business venture, when Lord & Lady Mongagu investigated exporting these hand-made rubbings to the U.S.  Venture was truncated when the pound was devalued, but the full story of the rubbings is given in the book and accompaning literature, several journal articles and 2 signed pamphlets written by  Lord Mongtagu of Beaulieu (pronouced Bewley in England), give the history of the Beaulieu Palace House and the Abbey - a major tourist stop near Southhampton
